YTMicro Officially Becomes an AUTOSAR Development Partner!

In February 2023, Jiangsu Yuntu Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (YTMicro for short) signed a "Development Partner Agreement" with the AUTOSAR organization, officially becoming an AUTOSAR Development Partner.

AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture) is a globally influential organization dedicated to setting standards for automotive electronics software. Its goal is to develop common specifications, architectures, and methodologies required for reliable automotive systems, with a focus on achieving reliability, scalability, and maintainability. AUTOSAR aims to establish an open, standardized system architecture for automotive electronic control units (ECUs).

YTMicro, as one of the 76 Development Partners of AUTOSAR, is one of the few Chinese domestic automotive-grade chip manufacturers within the AUTOSAR ecosystem. Moving forward, YTMicro plans to leverage the AUTOSAR ecosystem, adhering to AUTOSAR standards and specifications, to continuously develop automotive-grade control chips for critical automotive domains such as chassis, powertrain, autonomous driving, cockpit, and body control. These chips will further enable OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Tier 1 suppliers to access high-quality, highly reliable automotive chip solutions.

In addition, YTMicro is also committed to actively participating in related activities within the AUTOSAR organization, such as regularly attending MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) and NVRAM (Non-Volatile RAM) working group meetings, and collaborating with core and advanced partners to promote and improve AUTOSAR standards.

About AutoStar

AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture) was established in 2003 and has since brought together over 300 leading automotive manufacturers, component suppliers, and companies from the electronics, semiconductor, and software industries worldwide. Some of AUTOSAR’s “core partners” include BMW Group, Bosch, Continental, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, PSA Group, Toyota, and Volkswagen Group. As one of the most influential automotive electronic software standardization organizations in the world, AUTOSAR focuses on promoting standardization to achieve reliability, scalability, and maintainability. It develops the general specifications, architectures, and methodologies required for building reliable automotive systems, with the goal of creating an open, standardized system architecture for automotive electronic control units (ECUs).

The AUTOSAR standards cover numerous fields, including automotive operating systems, communications, memory management, diagnostics, network management, calibration, hardware adaptation, software flashing, and functional safety.

By joining the AUTOSAR organization and becoming a Development Partner, YTMicro will build upon its self-developed 32-bit automotive-grade MCU products and actively participate in promoting and improving the AUTOSAR standards. This collaboration will optimize the software development process, enabling the development of standardized, universal automotive-grade MCU MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) and related configuration tools. In doing so, YTMicro will better meet the diverse needs of different customers and contribute to the further evolution of the automotive chip ecosystem.
